COLLEGE OUTREACH PROGRAM
Wood Avenue Church of Christ, located right next to the University of North Alabama, has a College Outreach Program. If you have a member of your congregation or know of someone attending UNA or Northwest Shoals Community College, we want to help encourage their faith in God and involvement in the local church. We want to provide them a way to be rooted in their faith.
3 WAYS WE CAN HELP YOUR COLLEGE STUDENT
- Let us know they are coming to the area. We would love for your family to visit Wood Avenue and join us for worship and allow your student a chance to get acquainted with our other college students.
- Tell us where they are. Our members enjoy sending cards and checking to see how students are doing. If you can provide us with their address and phone number we can invite them to events and worship as well as provide a constant stream of encouragement. We can also provide an adoptive family that can look over them and be there for them in times of need or if they need help with something immediately such as an emergency.
- We offer great Bible classes and opportunities for fellowship with other college students. I am the college outreach minister and part of my focus is providing uplifting spiritual events and personal outreach to students. These events help students connect with other students facing similar struggles and striving to grow in their faith.
