The Wood Avenue Church of Christ is about faith! Faith in God. Faith in Christ. Faith in God’s Spirit. Faith is our focus.
Learn MoreThe Lord wants His people to be a family. His family. Jesus once said, “For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother” (Mark 3:35).
Learn MoreYou will find that Wood Avenue is a church that strives to look forward. We respect and recognize the contributions of the past in getting us to where we are today.
Learn More"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17
Believe in Jesus as God’s Son “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)
Confess your faith in Christ “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matt.10:32-33)
Turn from your sins “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” (Acts 17:30-31)
Be baptized for the remission of sins “Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” (Acts 2:38)
Live a faithful Christian life in the fellowship of God’s people "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Cor.15:58) “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)
